Django Vagabonds

Django Vagabonds is a unique trio in Europe, characterized by three very different musicians in terms of origin and age: the young exceptional Puerto Rican musician Lemuel E. Lyando Flusa with his special instrument, the cuatro, the “many-stringed” Tobias Santosh Großmann with Indian-Baden roots on the 7-string jazz guitar; and the senior of the trio and native Berliner Uli Hoffmeier, who has been a member of the Palastorchester with its singer Max Raabe for almost 30 years. What they have in common is their love of Django Reinhardt's music, in whose footsteps they travel across half of Europe. They perform his compositions as a matter of course, along with the rarely heard traditional jibara music of Puerto Rico and German swing songs from the 1920s and 1930s.
